Innsbruck is enriched by a further attraction

On 1 December 2007, the new Hungerburgbahn funicular was officially opened after a design and construction time of four years. The funicular railway covering a length of 1,860 m and a rise of 288 m runs overground and underground in part. It is the last section of the entire project "Innsbrucker Nordkettenbahnen Neu" (Cable Railway) which offers a direct connection between Innsbrucks city center and the ski and tourism region of the Nordkette (high-alpine terrain).

The project was realised on basis of a Private Public Partnership by a consortium consisting of the companies STRABAG and Leitner. ILF-Services comprised the development of a bid concept and the overall planning except for the building constructions.
