Risk Analysis for the Tunnel Prague-Beroun
| | ![]() |
In March 2008, ILF has been entrusted with the preparation of a risk analysis for the 25 km long Prague-Beroun Tunnel on behalf of the Czech Railway Infrastructure Administration (Správa železničnà dopravnà cesty, s.o.). The tunnel is part of the III Czech Railway Corridor which is intended to provide a fast connection from Germany (Munich-Nuremberg) via Pilsen, Prague, Olomouc, Ostrava to Poland and Slovakia.
Owing to the considerable length of the tunnel, operating risks and safety impacts shall also be examined within the scope of the risk analysis aside from constructural risks and their consequences on construction costs. Furthermore, recommendations are to be supplied for the next design phase, such as which tunnel lining shall be incorporated.
