In the midst of a very successful professional career, Dr. Rudolf Pöttler was taken from us completely unexpectedly at the age of 55.

Dr. Pöttler was for more than ten years managing director of ILF Consulting Engineers (Innsbruck/Austria) and additionally was in charge of various other leading roles in our company. Prior to these assignments, he served for many years as head of ILFs structural and construction engineering department.

Especially in his field of expertise, structural and geotechnical engineering, Dr. Pöttler was an expert of international repute. To his colleagues and associates he was an understanding and responsible manager, who was always willing to listen to their problems.

For the ILF Group, Dr. Pöttler was an extremely loyal colleague and an excellent leader - both personally and professionally.

Together with his family we mourn the loss of a wonderful man and many of us mourn the loss of a very good friend.

We ask you to say a silent prayer for Dr. Pöttler to honour his memory.
