Detailed design for the Bunde-Etzel Gas Pipeline in Germany
| | ![]() |
The 48-inch gas pipeline project Bunde-Etzel with an intended capacity of 4.5 Mio Nm³/h ranks among one of Europes major gas pipeline projects. The pipeline, operable in both flow directions, is designed to connect the cavern storage at Etzel and the gas pipeline hub at Bunde.
After successfully performing the permit application design, ILF has further been entrusted with the detail design on behalf of the BEP GmbH & Co KG. In the course of this, the chief challenges will lie in the high water levels, the minor load-bearing capacity of the soils and the crossing of the river Ems with a length of 1,000 m.
