Exploration and Development of New Oil Fields in Kazakhstan

PETROM Kazakhstan is developing the oil field Komsomolskoe at present. The operator is KOM-MUNAI, Ltd., subsidiary of OMV - owned Petrom, S.A., Romania, which belongs to the OMV-Group.
For exploitation of the Komsomolskoe oil field existing vertical producing wells and water injection wells need to be revamped. Several new oil producing horizontal wells and wells for injection of formation water / associated gas injection need to be drilled. Infrastructure for the connection of the oil field to export facilities forms part of the project. The planned oil production is up to 7000 barrels per day (2012) and shall start in the first quarter of 2008.
On July 19, 2006 ILF Kazakhstan was awarded a contract for project management services including authority engineering, procurement support, detail design supervision, pre-construction activities, site construction supervision, pre-commissioning and commissioning supervision.
