Electric power transmission by OHTL for a new Combined Cycle Power Plant located in QIT (Qua Iboe Terminal), Akwa Ibom State Nigeria. Approx. 500MW will be exported to the Nigerian Grid. The 54km OHL is situated in mostly low populated area. About 50% of the OHL is in swampy area.
Technical data:
- Length: 54km in total
- 2 circuits 330kV OHL
- 2 bundle conductors 380/50 ACSR
- Total power transfer capacity: approx. 1,000MW, 500MW to be transferred under n-1 criteria
- Grid connection from QIT 330kV substation to 330kV Ikot Abasi substation, owned by TCN Nigeria’s grid operator
- PHCN (Power Holding Company Nigeria) Standards 2007 used for the conceptual design
