Photovoltaic power plant Michalich

The PV Power Plant project is situated in the southeast of Bulgaria, around 2 km west of the town Mihalich, close to the Turkish border. The landscape is characterized by slopes in all directions, small hills, shallow areas and rocks scattered throughout the whole area. The global irradiation in this area is among the highest in Bulgaria. According to Independent Yield Assessments the irradiation is higher than 1.400 kWh/m² p.a. Altogether 1.55 million m² are divided into seventeen PV Areas. The total capacity reaches approx. 76 MW, and is distribute among 17 independent plants of 2.5 - 5 MW each. The grid connection design contains a 20/110 kV substation and a 110 kV transmission line.
