Feasibility Study Photovoltaic Power Plants El Salvador
Currently the first large scale PV Power Plant of El Salvador is being developed. For this purpose, ILF achieved a feasibility study that will serve as a basis for the construction of two photovoltaic power plants of at least 17.8 MW. The two projects sites are located in close proximity to hydroelectric power plants and will be integrated into their infrastructure. The first step will be the construction of the PV Power Plant at 15 de Septiembre with a nominal power of 6 - 8 MW.
Technical data:
- Total power: 17.8 MW
- No. of plants: 2 - 15 de Septiembre: 14.2 MW, Guajoyo: 3.6 MW
- PV module type: Polycrystalline Technology
- PV inverters: String inverter concept
- Grid connection: 46 kV
- First step : 15 de Septiembre 6 - 8 MW
Highlights:
- First large scale PV power plant in Central America
- Both sites are located in close proximity to hydroelectric power plants and integrated into their infrastructure
