Implementation of a 900 MW and 194 MIGD independent power and water project on a BOO basis at Shoaiba in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Shoaiba phase III project will be developed as a greenfield crude oil-fired power and seawater desalination plant located on land at Shoaiba, approximately 110 km south of Jeddah, on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia. The proposed site is located next to the existing Shoaiba Phase I (300 MW and 50 MIGD) and Phase II (550 MW and 100 MIGD) plants. The plant will be built, owned and operated by the project company and upon award of the contract, the client will sell power and water for 20 years to the Water and Electricity Company (WEC) on a PWPA basis. Shoaiba is the first of four Independent Water and Power Projects (IWPPs) in the KSA, followed by Shuqaiq, Raz Azzour and Jubail.
