S 10 Mühlviertler Expressway

Continuous four-lane expressway with lane separation and emergency lane, total length of about 37km – from the current end of the A 7 to the Czech border until Wullowitz. Difficult topographical conditions; numerous bridges; mined as well as cut-and-cover tunnels.

Design process with strong involvement of the public opinion, the specialist departments of the State of Upper Austria and the Upper Austria Ombuds Office for Environmental Protection. Active public involvement from a very early project phase on (preliminary examinations, preliminary design).
