ILF Consulting Engineers' activities encompass road and tunnel design for the permit application design of a 4-lane motorway with several access points in the city area.

Urban motorway (mostly in tunnels) with complex design conditions; it has 6 access points, 3 of which are below ground, and 1 motorway intersection. The A 26 forms a motorway ring (Western Ring Road) with the existing A 7. For the most part, the A 26 runs through tunnels which are located to a great extend below urban residential areas.

Southern section:
Urban motorway (mostly in tunnels) with complex design conditions; it has 5 junctions, 3 of which are below ground; Western bridge (asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge over the Westbahn motorway) and 4th Danube bridge in Linz (suspension bridge in the area of the environmentally sensitive “Linzer Pforte”); Freinberg tunnel with  cut-and-cover section (in the area of the heavily used city roads) and mined section (with partly low overburden between tunnel and residential area); construction works in urban environment while maintaining road and railway traffic.
