Revamping of SONATRACH TRCs Metering System in Algeria

SONATRACH TRC, the pipeline operating branch of SONATRACH, intends to revamp the metering system of all oil, gas, condensate, and LPG pipelines and substations network infrastructure. The standards to be developed in this project involve the existing pipeline network, the currently designed network as well as the expected future network extensions with a total length of approx. 16,000 km. The metering system contains some 212 locations with a total of 357 metering stations and metering points.

On May 26th 2009 the owners engineer and PMC services were awarded to ILF in collaboration with GLI of France.

The time schedule of the project is demanding completion by end of 2011.
