CPC Expansion - Kazakh Section
The joint stock company Caspian Pipeline Consortium is developing the Caspian Pipeline Expansion Project. The CPC crude oil pipeline system comprises a complete unitary pipeline system, approximately 1500 km in length, transporting crude oil from Tengiz and various other Kazakh and Russian fields to the Black Sea. CPC plans to expand the throughput capacity of CPC?s current pipeline system to 67 MTA or more. Additional facilities and storage capacity will be required to obtain this intended maximum throughput capacity.
ILF Kazakhstan has been contracted by Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC (KPV) to perform project management services for the project section in Kazakhstan. An Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) was established in Astana. The services began in April 2010 and are scheduled for completion by 2014.
