ILF signs agreement for three transit gas pipelines in Poland
On 10.05.2012, ILF signed three agreements with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. for the execution of designer supervision services during the construction of the transit gas pipelines:
1. Rembelszczyzna – Gustorzyn gas pipeline (L = 176 km)
2. Szczecin – Lwówek gas pipeline (L = 188.4 km)
3. Szczecin – Gdańsk gas pipeline (L = 204 km)
ILF will supervise the compliance of the executed construction works with the elaborated design services. ILF has elaborated the building permit design for all sections and now performs the investor's supervision for two sections (Szczecin – Lwówek, Rembelszczyzna – Gustorzyn).
The construction of these gas pipelines shall not only enhance the transit capacity of the gas system, but it shall furthermore increase the diversification of gas sources and the safety of gas supply in Poland by connecting the national transit system with the newly-constructed LNG terminal in Świnoujscie. The investment is co-financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund within the framework of the Operational Program “Infrastructure and Environment”.
