Time frame | 2003 - 2006 |
The scope of the project included the construction of a gas storage facility with a connecting line to the Dutch gas pipeline system. The services comprised the construction of the above ground installations, the completion of 4 caverns, flow lines and connecting line. The plant was designed for an injection rate of 200,000 Nm³/h and a withdrawal rate of 2 x 400,000 Nm³/h, the installed compressor capacity is 14 MW. The design services for metering systems, gas pre-heating, gas drying, pressure reduction, all auxiliary systems, flow lines to the caverns, cavern heads and gas production strings formed part of the engineering services.
ILF rendered the engineering services for all above ground facilities including completion of caverns and first gas filling. In this project ILF was a partner in an EPC consortium and responsible for the project design, tendering and procurement, project management, construction supervision, start-up and documentation.
