Nyadeyu Oil Field Development
Project | | Nyadeyu Oil Field Development | Client | | JSC Severnaya NefT | Country | | Russia | Time frame | | 2003 - 2004 |
The Nyadeyu oil field is located in the Nenets Autonomous District of the Arkangelsk region and is part of the Val Gamburtseva oil fields. The oil and gas gathering system is designed for a pressure of 4.0 MPa, the facility includes 25 km of export pipelines, 5 km of water intake pipeline, a pumping station for water injection, 30 km of high-pressure water pipelines. Production from the 50 production wells under wellhead pressure is effected by means of submersible pumps and includes a central processing facility with gas separation and oil/water separation. An automatic batch measuring unit is installed at each well of the 7 pads. The produced fluid is supplied to the pumping station from the measuring units via a 30 km long oil gathering system. Production capacity is approx. 2 MTA.
Another challenging project for ILF was the development of a crude oil field under permafrost conditions north of the Arctic Circle. The minimum design temperature was -56 ºC. All facilities were constructed on piles; the pipelines were laid above ground. Cold snaps in summer and thaws in winter placed great demands on the design of the access roads and the accommodation for 30 operators. ILF's services as engineering consultant to the client encompassed FEED, detailed design, permitting procedure and environmental impact assessment.
