Traffic system equipment serves to increase traffic safety. ILF therefore plans and designs traffic management systems for routes outside of tunnels (depending on topography) as well as traffic facilities outside of portals and in tunnels.

The aim is to alert road users to dangers or risks. This must be done in such a way that confusion is avoided and road users are not distracted. To show the visual impact of traffic management systems and/or traffic facilities on road users, ILF carries out simulations, among other things.
