Innovative Thinking

As demonstrated by the company founders from the very start, ILF has always placed great importance on innovative solutions. ILF understands and promotes innovation both in connection with ILF’s technical solutions, materials, and work steps as well as in its own work processes and tools.

Although ILF is not a research institute, it partners with universities and public and private entities to participate in well selected research projects in different sectors. Furthermore, ILF is actively involved in various working groups to develop new guidelines and concepts.

Earthquake Recovery for Papua New Guinea

In 2018, a M7.5 earthquake hit Papua New Guinea. ILF responded quickly, supporting the Operator’s ground staff to assess the damage via overnight design verification during the weeks immediately following the earthquake.
