WHAT WE DO

WHAT WE DO

Colleagues in our department have been designing and implementing large-scale water transmission systems all over the world for more than 40 years, and have in the meantime helped our department establish itself as an international market leader in this field. Our clients include public/private clients and utility companies, project developers, international banks and financing institutions, as well as construction companies and EPC/BOT contractors, amongst others.

As a department we support these clients in all project phases.

Based on the results of masterplan and feasibility studies, we carry out system optimization studies, prepare permit application (approval) documents and support clients during the bidding phase and award of contract. Subsequently, we assist our clients during project realization with project management, site supervision, detailed design services and with commissioning and start-up. Applying our many years of experience in hydraulics and process engineering, we have developed our own software “I-Flow”, which is used in the design of “closed” hydraulic water transmission systems.

OUR TEAM

WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH

Our department has more than 30 employees. The colleagues in the Pipeline and Plants team come from a variety of professional and educational backgrounds including Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Environmental Engineering. We are especially proud of the fact that the Draftsmen who have been trained in our department continue to be loyal to us after completing their apprenticeships, and actively support us in our daily tasks.

Our Team Assistants and Document Controllers, furthermore, have commercial training and provide the entire department with help and advice.

As many of our projects are based in the Middle East and are usually large-scale projects, we work together with the ILF offices in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, amongst others. Pooling the technical expertise from multiple offices and combining this with the local know-how and support of colleagues located closer to the project sites, our department embraces the ONE-ILF philosophy. In our day-to-day work, we foster a friendly team spirit based on mutual appreciation.

“My team is particularly characterized by its very strong team spirit. Our sense of togetherness and belonging forms the basis for the success which we have in our projects. We show consistency and ambitiousness when working on these exciting and challenging projects, and approach such projects in a focussed manner. Among other things, we support arid countries facing water scarcity with the expansion of their infrastructure, aiming to give the people in these countries access to potable water. Our work therefore also gives us the opportunity to get to know other countries and cultures.”

MEET YOUR COLLEAGUES

“I place particular value on there being a certain amount of flexibility in, level of appreciation for and element of variety in the work I do – and the sense of fun should also never be lost. Through the close relationship that I have with project managers, I can also gain a lot of knowledge outside of my field of expertise.”

Document Controller

“Something I’ll always remember is the spontaneous visit I had to a construction site during a business trip to Saudi Arabia. For me, as a Hydraulic Engineer, this trip enabled me to see how the figures that I had put on paper had become reality – something which was very impressive.”

Hydraulic Expert

“Since my first day at ILF, I have been able to continuously expand my knowledge and gain an insight into the most diverse of engineering tasks. Today, I enjoy being able to take on the challenges that I face as a Project Manager in international projects and making a success of the work we do as a team.”

Project Manager

“As a Civil Engineer, my work mainly involves designing stations and pipelines. This work is very varied because I am involved in both interdisciplinary and international projects. My team is particularly characterized by its collegiality and strong team spirit – features that are undoubtedly indispensable in stressful situations.”
