Climate protection has become an increasingly important issue to the public. Although it is not yet possible to completely eliminate carbon dioxide emissions, there are ways to reduce or prevent carbon dioxide emissions beyond promoting the use of renewable energy sources.

To promote climate protection, ILF prepares strategies for industrial clients to improve their energy efficiency, helps clients implement changes to increase efficiency, develops measures for clients to curb greenhouse gas emissions, and actively supports various expert groups as they define guidelines.
